Ljubljana (German Ljubljana, Lubiana Italian, Latin Labacum) is the capital and at the same time the largest city in Slovenia.

Cathedral of St. Nicholas - Stolnica Cerkev sv. Nikolaja
Originally a Romanesque Basilica, which is mentioned for the first time in 1262 stood here. After a fire in the year 1361, she was arched Gothic.
After the establishment of the Diocese of Ljubljana 1461, the Church was expanded several times and rebuilt.
In 1701, it was demolished and replaced by a new, Baroque Hall church in the form of a Latin cross with side chapels.
