    The old king's palace is in the south of the Prague castle and was established in the late 9th century as a wooden building.
    At the beginning of the 12th century prince Sobeslav built a Romanesque stone building on his place. In the course of the
    centuries some new buildings and rebuildings were carried out, so that several style directions are to be recognised in and
    in the old king's palace. The respective kings or also emperors lived in the old king's palace in which many halls are to be
    found. The most magnificent of them is the Vladislav Hall.

    The Wladislaw hall is an example of the medieval architecture and statics art. He was from 1490/1493 to 1502 built by
    the architect Benedikt Ried. The Vladislav Hall was added to the High Medieval Hall of the Royal Palace, and impressed
    by its column-free architecture with a remarkable ribbed Vault. Only by flying buttresses, high ceiling is supported
    the 13m, which was a masterpiece at this time. In addition, the Wladislaw hall with his masses 62m x 16m x 13m is a
    gigantic hall in which in former times knight's tournaments, banquets, coronation festivities and markets were held.

    Der Alte Königspalast befindet sich im Süden der Prager Burg und wurde im späten 9. Jahrhundert als Holzgebäude errichtet.
    Anfang des 12. Jahrhunderts baute Prinz Sobeslav ein romanisches Steingebäude an seine Stelle. Im Laufe der Jahrhunderte
    wurden einige Neu- und Umbauten vorgenommen, so dass mehrere Stilrichtungen im und am Alten Königspalast zu erkennen sind.
    Die jeweiligen Könige bzw. auch Kaiser wohnten im Alten Königspalast, in dem viele Säle vorzufinden sind. Der prächtigste unter
    ihnen ist der Wladislaw-Saal.

    Der Wladislaw-Saal ist ein Beispiel für die mittelalterliche Bau- und Statikkunst. Er wurde von 1490/1493 bis 1502 durch den
    Baumeister Benedikt Ried errichtet. Der Wladislaw-Saal wurde auf den hochmittelalterlichen Saal des Königspalastes aufgesetzt
    und beeindruckt durch seine stützenlose Architektur mit einem beachtenswerten Rippengewölbe. Nur durch Strebepfeiler wird
    die 13 m hohe Decke getragen, was zu dieser Zeit ein Meisterwerk war. Darüber hinaus ist der Wladislaw-Saal mit seinen
    Maßen 62 m x 16 m x 13 m eine riesige Halle, in der in früheren Zeiten Ritterturniere, Gastmähler, Krönungsfeierlichkeiten und
    Märkte abgehalten wurden. Am Ausgang sieht man noch die Pferdegerechte Treppe Heute findet hier die Wahl des
    Staatspräsidenten der Tschechischen Republik statt.
