    The castle of Lednice with its vast park is one of the most beautiful complexes of the Czech Republic.
    The whole manor in 1249 obtained the Liechtenstein and that they owned nearly 700 Jahre.Die first historical
    Certificate for this location dates back to 1222. Even then a Gothic fortress stood here obviously
    a courtyard, by the Czech King Václav I the Austrian noble Sigfried Sirotek in the
    Years 1249 was awarded. Hartmann von Lichtenstein had built the castle in the 16th century in the style of Italian villas.
    At the beginning of the 17th century there was a renovation under the direction of Italian architect Giovanni Tencalla.

    End of the 17.Jahrhunderts was torn off also this building and into a baroque residence with an expanded architecturally
    arranged garden converted. At this time also the monumental indoor riding arena developed after a draft of
    Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach. This remained to today shape changed in an only little. In the 18.Jht it was supplemented
    extended by a projectile with half projectile, the southern building parts and in the western part developed a chapel, which
    serves until today as parish church for Lednice. At the beginning of the 19.Jahrhunderts architect Joseph Kornhäusel for
    prince Johann I. completed the garden wing of the lock and standardized at the same time the whole front in the Empirestil.

    The today's appearance of the lock originates from the years 1846-1858. Prince Alois II. of Liechtenstein decided the fact that
    Vienna was not suitable for the meeting of summer celebrations and let Eisgrub (Lednice) to a representation summer seat in
    the spirit of the English gothic (Tudor gothic) changes. In the year 1996 the area of Lednice - Valtice, of that became
    Lock Lednice a part is registered, into the UNESCO world heritage list.

    Das Schloss von Lednice mit seinem ausgedehnten Park gehört zu den schönsten Komplexen der Tschechischen Republik.
    Das ganze Herrengut erlangten im Jahre 1249 die Liechtensteiner und es gehörte ihnen fast 700 Jahre.Die erste historische
    Urkunde über diese Lokalität stammt aus dem Jahre 1222. Schon damals stand hier offensichtlich eine gotische Festung
    mit einem Hof, die vom tschechischen König Václav I. dem österreichischen Adeligen Sigfried Sirotek im
    Jahre 1249 verliehen wurde. Hartmann von Lichtenstein ließ das Schloss im 16. Jahrhundert im Stil italienischer Villen erbauen.
    Anfang des 17. Jahrhunderts gab es einen Umbau unter der Leitung des italienischen Architekten Giovanni Tencalla.

    Ende des 17.Jahrhunderts wurde auch dieses Bauwerk abgerissen und in eine Barockresidenz mit einem ausgedehnten
    architektonisch gestalteten Garten umgewandelt. Zu dieser Zeit entstand auch die monumentale Reithalle nach einem
    Entwurf von Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach. Diese blieb bis heute in einer nur wenig veränderten Gestalt erhalten.
    Im 18.Jht. wurde es um ein Geschoss mit Halbgeschoss ergänzt, die südlichen Gebäudeteile erweitert und im westlichen
    Teil entstand eine Kapelle, die bis heute als Pfarrkirche für Lednice dient. Zu Beginn des 19.Jahrhunderts vollendete
    Architekt Joseph Kornhäusel für Fürst Johann I. den Gartenflügel des Schlosses und vereinheitlichte gleichzeitig die ganze
    Fassade im Empirestil.

    Das heutige Aussehen des Schlosses stammt aus den Jahren 1846-1858. Fürst Alois II. von Liechtenstein entschied,
    dass Wien für die Veranstaltung von Sommerfesten nicht passend sei und ließ Lednice zu einem Repräsentations-Sommersitz
    im Geiste der englischen Gotik (Tudor-Gotik) umbauen. Im Jahre 1996 wurde das Gebiet von Lednice - Valtice, von dem
    Schloss Lednice ein Teil ist, in die UNESCO-Weltkulturerbeliste eingetragen.
