St Lawrence Church on Petrinby *pingallery

The church consecrated to holy Laurentius lies on the Petřin in Prague. The Petrin is a 327-m-high hill in Prague where the Prague inhabitants recover traditionally. Numerous historical buildings and places of interest are on this. The hill which is covered almost completely with parks shows one of the preferential greenbelt recreation areas of the population of Prague.

The Saint Laurentius-Kirche (Kostel Sv. Vavrince), was established on the occasion of the massacre of a branch of the Přemyslidendynastie, and is consecrated to the Saint Laurentuis tortured in the 3rd century on a glowing rust then executed. The originally Romanesque, already in J. 1135 mentioned and 1735-70 baroque converted St. Laurentius churches, belonged in the past to the traditional places of pilgrimage of the inhabitants of Prague.

Die dem heiligen Laurentius geweihte Kirche liegt auf dem Petřin in Prag. Der Petrin ist ein 327 m hoher Hügel in Prag, wo die Prager Einwohner sich traditionell erholen. Auf diesem befinden sich zahlreiche historische Gebäude und Sehenswürdigkeiten. Der Hügel, der fast vollständig mit Parkanlagen überzogen ist, stellt eines der bevorzugten Naherholungsgebiete der Bevölkerung von Prag dar.

Die St. Laurentius-Kirche (Kostel Sv. Vavrince), wurde anlässlich des Massakers an einem Zweig der Přemyslidendynastie errichtet, und ist dem im 3. Jahrhundert auf einem glühenden Rost gemarterten und dann exekutierten St. Laurentuis geweiht. Die ursprünglich romanische, bereits im J. 1135 erwähnte und 1735–70 barock umgebaute St.-Laurentius-Kirche, gehörte in der Vergangenheit zu den traditionellen Wallfahrtsorten der Bewohner Prags.

I wish I had the energy to climb the 299 steps to the top of Prague's verson of the Eiffel Tower
like you did to get this fantasic shot, unfortunately those days are over

. Great shot though.
