i think my favorite thing about this piece is that you captured such a broad area of the forum...with no people in it makes me feel like i could step into that picture and be the only person there, and in my solitude take in the atmosphere of it LOVE it!
The Romans had already at that time, a very impressive construction technology in the construction of domes, Curve constructions, baths and temples and aqueducts. The more power and fame won the Roman empire, the greater and more splendidly the constructions of the forum were formed among the respective rulers.
Unfortunately, the antique buildings went to ruin in the time of the Renaissance more and more, because the area served the Romans only as a stone quarry. The today's ruins offer only a small insight into the former centre of the antique metropolis.
