The coastal village of Mamalapuram was already till the from the 4th to the 9th century, centre of the südindischen stonecutter art.
The stonecutters perpetuated her art in many rocks all around the village.

This imposing rock relief of the Indian culture is a world cultural heritage.
The centre of this relief forms the heavenly Herabkunft of the Ganga. Water can be derived by a tank by his deepening.
On the right of it, the eye-catcher generally, an elephant's family. The relief is so variform that it is advisable to carry out the consideration with a guide to understand all details.

Unfortunately, I have not come yet to the pleasure to see this nice relief personal. The picture was taken by my father-in-law, in a visit in India.
Hehehe... I could not resist to work on this photo! :D

Das Küstendorf Mamalapuram war schon im 4. bis 9. Jahrhundert, Zentrum der südindischen Steinmetzkunst.
Die Steinmetze verewigten ihre Kunst in vielen Felsen rund um das Dorf.

Dieses imposante Felsenrelief der indischen Kultur ist Weltkulturerbe.
Der Mittelpunkt dieses Reliefs bildet die himmlische Herabkunft des Ganga. Durch seine Vertiefung kann durch eine Zisterne Wasser abgeleitet werden.
Rechts daneben, der Blickfang überhaupt, eine Elefantenfamilie. Das Relief ist so vielgestaltig, dass es sich empfiehlt, die Betrachtung mit einem Reiseführer vorzunehmen um alle Details zu verstehen.

Leider bin ich noch nicht in den Genuss gekommen, dieses schöne Relief persönlich zu sehen. Die Aufnahme wurde von meinem Schwiegervater, bei einem Besuch in Indien, gemacht.
Hehehe ... ich konnte nicht widerstehen, dieses Foto zu bearbeiten! :D

Religion and worship of deities has inspired the most beautiful art throughout the world...
The Sistine Chapel, the Pyramids of Giza, and the Buddhas of Bamiyan for example...
This rock relief is another gorgeous creation for the Gods! Great photo :) :heart:
I just wish this was the only thing religion manufactured...

das hatte ich letzte Woche zur Prüfung, es ist wirklich wundervoll - und bis man alles zumindest Ansatzweise verstanden hat, dauert es etwas länger! ^^
