One of the most beautiful fountain in Vienna is by Theophil Hansen in the style of ancient Greece, designed Pallas Athena Fountain in front of Parliament on the ring road.

In the middle of the symmetrically invested well, stands the four-metre-high goddess of the wisdom, Pallas Athene, surrounded by river gods who embody the Danube, Inn, the Elbe and Moldavia. Judikative and executive in women's figure remind of the democratic mind. She holds in the left hand a spear, in the right ones Nike.
