The court bower is in the Potsdam part of town Babel mountain, on the Lennéhöhe in the park Babel mountain, between the castle Babel mountain and the Flatowturm. It was in the 13th century a part of the old Berlin city hall, was used there in the 19th century and was rebuilt in the park. Today it is a known destination as well as one of the landmarks of the park Babel mountain.
The court bower was a part of the old Berlin city hall and was used with the city hall new building, in 1871, to which emperor Wilhelm I was rebuilt given and in the park Babel mountain on the Lennéhöhe.
She showed originally a Gothic porch from the second half of the 13th century in the medieval advice house of Berlin and was strongly changed under use of some of the old construction elements wiederhergerichtet. The 2-storey, square Backsteinpavilion is ground-level with an open hall in which four cross-arched yokes arch around the middle pillar. The middle pillar is decorated with figurative stucco chapters from the 13th century. In the upper floor there is a net vault on a Renaissance column. In the southwest buttress there sits a grinning bird from the brick which refers to the former Berlin pillory.

Die Gerichtslaube befindet sich im Potsdamer Stadtteil Babelsberg, auf der Lennéhöhe im Park Babelsberg, zwischen dem Schloß Babelsberg und dem Flatowturm. Sie war im 13. Jahrhundert ein Teil des alten Berliner Rathauses, wurde dort im 19. Jahrhundert abgetragen und im Park wieder aufgebaut. Heute ist sie ein bekanntes Ausflugsziel sowie eines der Wahrzeichen vom Park Babelsberg.
Die Gerichtslaube war ein Teil des alten Berliner Rathauses und wurde beim Rathausneubau, im Jahr 1871, abgetragen, dem Kaiser Wilhelm I. geschenkt und im Park Babelsberg auf der Lennéhöhe wieder aufgebaut.
Sie stellte ursprünglich einen gotischen Vorbau aus der zweiten Hälfte des 13. Jahrhunderts am mittelalterlichen Ratshaus von Berlin dar und wurde unter Benutzung einiger alter Bauglieder stark verändert wiederhergerichtet. Der zweigeschossige, quadratische Backsteinpavilion ist ebenerdig mit einer offenen Halle, in der sich vier kreuzgewölbte Jochen um den Mittelpfeiler wölben. Der Mittelpfeiler ist mit figürlichen Stuckkapiteln aus dem 13. Jahrhundert geschmückt. Im Obergeschoß gibt es ein Netzgewölbe auf einer Renaissance-Säule. Am südwestlichen Strebepfeiler sitzt ein grinsender Vogel aus Backstein, welcher sich auf den ehemaligen Berliner Pranger bezieht.
