The Old Museum (Royal Museum until 1845) on Berlin's Museum Island was built in 1825-1828 by Karl Friedrich Schinkel in the classical style and now houses the antiquities collection of the National Museums in Berlin. The listed building is one of the most important of classicism and is considered a high point in the work of Schinkel. It is part of the building complex on the Museum Island, which was taken in 1999 by UNESCO in the list of world cultural heritage.

The exhibition rooms of the building are set around two courtyards, the center is the heart of the Old Museum, on both levels ranging and covered with a skylight rotunda.
